What is STEM? ....satisfying career opportunities in Engineering and Science

This is a talk that I developed and gave to STEM College students, providing definitions of Science, Technology and Engineering and highlighting the national need for a huge increase in engineers and scientists especially with computer science / coding skills. It leads on to an introduction to engineering nanotechnology.

Precision Machine Design Technical Leadership Committee (PMDTLC)

I drew up these Principles between 1970 and 1975 as the basis for lectures both for MSc students at Cranfield and many professional development short courses taught in the UK, USA, Australia, Singapore and Taiwan. Mark whose contact details are set out below and who gained his MSc in Precision Engineering in my Department at Cranfield has used them in a talk he gave recently at the annual meeting of the American Society for Precision Engineering as a means of addressing progress made towards higher precision / accuracy in machine systems to recent times (2016). He also highlights the current state-of-the-art in currently market available machines.
